Both of these phenomena can be experienced in a half-hour’s drive around here today.
Frosted ice = snow which has fallen on top of an ice/sleet bed.
Glazed snow = freezing rain which has fallen on top of a snow bed.
Yep, I made the terms up, but that’s what’s transpiring, and it means this old guy is taking a snow day, no matter what you call it.
