I’m trying to modify the layout here at tbbs-land, for a little better presentation. If ya’ can’t dazzle ‘em with writing, impress ‘em with the presentation, right? Oh, I forgot, that’s PowerPoint’s job.
I’ve been making incremental changes to my style sheet, and found a neat FireFox extension that’s been of great help: EditCSS. You install this in FFX, navigate to a site, do an Apple-8, and a pane opens on the left side of the page; this pane has the stylesheet for the currently displayed page. You can then hack away at this stylesheet, and see the results in real time, while not making permanent modifications to the sheet on your web server. Then, when things look good, ssh out to your server, and edit the stylesheet to incorporate the locally-made changes. Very cool.
