An update on my earlier PA post: The Senate passed its action on a voice vote; a wonderful gesture of accountability on their part.
Now the House of Representatives says we can extend the Patriot Act for one month, requiring a meeting of the Congressional/Senatorial minds.
What I don’t understand is the posturing going on on both sides of the aisle. It looks to me as though almost everyone thinks the PA is a good thing, but is afraid to step up and say so, at least until each member can get in a few good sound bites on how the Bill of Rights is a Good Thing. And about how much they value their constituents’ freedom.
