Thanks to some spectacular WordPress plugins and widgets, tbbs visitors can now see current local weather data in the sidebar. Fresh from NOAA.
Two plugins make it fly:
Weather Icon, responsible for fetching the weather data; and
The King Text Widget, which lets you embed functioning PHP, HTML, or plain text in a sidebar text widget.
Simple things often require sophistication, not to mention competent coding, that is beyond me.
Thanks.

May I suggest the version 3 beta of WeatherIcon? It comes built in with a sidebar widget and is pretty much a complete recode (and is majorly kickass).
