Be it Ever so Rude

SWMBO and I got back about 4PM local time, after 2100+ miles, 6 nights, and three states. In the 2 hours we’ve been home, I’ve witnessed more instances of dumbass driving and other general A-type yuppie rudeness than in the entire 2100 miles and six days combined.

I miss the South already. NoVA (Northern Virginia) most assuredly is not South; RoVA(Rest of Virginia)1 is definitely South.

1 – RoVA may be found South of I-64 here in the Commonwealth.

  1. I gotta agree with your division of Virginia into NoVa and Rova. Roanoke is definitely southern in spirit. The bumper to bumpter traffic jam around the sports arena whenever wrestling or the monster trucks were in town are more than enough proof. :-)

  2. One thing I noticed while driving through VA: the rude hand signs get more creative and are “displayed” more often south of I-64 too! And you can’t get more southern VA than Danville, and as I said some days ago, they have the best pulled pork BBQ.

    Coincidence? I think not! :-)
