The first week in October should find me in Raleigh yet again, for more book learnin’ at the Red Hat Mothership. Hopefully, I’ll walk off with my RHCE1 certification. The exam is supposed to be a grueling affair. I really want this certification, not that having it will make me a better sysadmin, or not having it will make me any worse. And it matters not that people more dense than I have their RHCE, nor that people much sharper than I didn’t make it. It’s just something I’ve wanted to accomplish since I got my first Red Hat certification almost a year ago.
So off I go, notebooks and laptop in backpack, to learn some more.
To quote my high school American History teacher, “To thine own self be true.” I think he was quoting Shakespeare, but I still remember the statement.
