Two years ago today, I put fingers to keyboard, and this old blog was born. I guess it’s annual statistics recap time, so from the WP Dashboard:
There are currently 1,167 posts and 604 comments, contained within 27 categories and 91 tags.

I’ll not embarrass myself with traffic statistics, etc, etc, because those are what they are. If this weren’t fun, I wouldn’t be doing it. It occurred to me the other day, whilst upgrading to WP 2.3, that in this day and age, anyone who so desires can have a platform from which to speak, what with blog systems and software available for free or for cheap. There is some satisfaction in simply speaking one’s mind. The comments, discussion, and online camaraderie will happen. I wouldn’t trade my handful of loyal and clever commenters for thousands of Facebook or Twitter hangers-on. So, thanks to my small, but loyal and ever so discerning band of readers and commenters. Y’all come back now.
So, off we go, into year three.
