The stinking on-call pager served as my alarm clock at about 9:15 this morning. A database backup bit the big one overnight, and required a little cleaning up. My VPN access still didn’t work, and I suspected I needed a PIN reset.
With efficiency usually unheard of from our help desk, my PIN was reset, and the problem handled. And my VPN works. I hope this lasts until the next time I have the stinking on-call pager. I’ll not delude myself.
