OK, I’m lame. I’m not on the Twitter any more, and don’t plan on returning. Still, I’ll admit to checking in on some of my old Twitter buds from time to time. And I find this, which I’ll quote here before the Twitter goes in the dumper again:
I’ll say it: I now feel about Twitter like I do about cell phone companies. What they provide is useful in my life but I really hate them.
Maybe Twitter should lose the final vowel from its name, to be more chique. Or come up with cooler cutesy pictures when the service is in the crapper. Or maybe they should concentrate on availability. Hmmm … what a choice to make.
I tweeted, I enjoyed, I’m gone.

I no longer use the Twitter service in any way in a daily or even weekly fashion. Twitteriffic is still set up to auto-start when I login to my MacBook Pro, but I hardly ever have to shut down or logout. My use of Twitterific then is only montly at least.
I think what really did it is the lack of availability. Why use a crappy service for something I don’t really need? If it was as useful as your quoted person says, I’d put up with it. But otherwise it’s a useless waste of time.
