Actually, no, it’s identi.ca, a URL I’d have made fun of a scant two or three years ago. Twitter-like, 140 character limitations, but open source, and a hangout for some Fedora Project folk who I follow on Fedora People.

If Debian, Ubuntu, OpenSuSE and/or Fedora get some people on the project, and they figure out the server federation architecture, this project could be the Twitter killer. A thousand federated identi.ca servers around the world will perform better than a few dozen Twitter servers at a single data center. No contest.
