Last weekend has melted into a What time is it? Where am I? experience. The current week thus far has been a series of trips to the Reston Hospital, a good provider of medical services.
The love of my life entered the Reston Hospital facilities last Saturday night. She’s had a back affliction(perforated disc) for years, and has endured pain and discomfort that I frankly can’t comprehend. But last Saturday, she was in pain so profound that I’d have dragged her to ER, had she not wanted to go. A call to her primary care doc told us to get her to Reston Hospital Emergency.
We both knew this had nothing to do with the back problem, and it didn’t. After several ER hours, wherein tests were run, CAT scans done, Xrays taken, she was sent to emergency surgery early Sunday morning. The surgery went well, and she’s now recuperating.
I hate to go into But what about me? mode; I’d just like to know how she manages all the mundane, necessary chores that are required in running a household. Chores I’ve taken for granted; now that I’m doing them, I’m amazed at the seemingly “little” things she does.
I soldier on, without her efficiency, and I’ll take good care of her when she gets back home.
Lookin’ forward to that.

Tell her that the Slushers want her to get well soon. She will be in our thoughts and prayers.
P.S. This is exactly the reason why Chinese takeout was invented.
Thanks, James.
I conveyed your good wishes to her today.
And, it has been a while since I’ve had Szechuan shredded pork, now that I think about it.

The other Slusher family also sends good thoughts your way. May she get well sooner than soonest.
Get well to YLB from the Loyal Order of Time Wasting Ass Clowns, Lodge #823
Thanks, Dave and PJ. I’ll convey your good wishes in person here shortly; it’s about time to head to the hospital again.
