Road Trip

Not a Search for America Tour by a long shot, just a weekend road trip, which commences mid-afternoon tomorrow. Just my little bride and me in the Saturn.
The cat will be tended by our loyal neighbor three doors down, who ministers to him on our longer journeys. I’m hoping we can find [...]

Road Blogging

I did a miserable job of providing daily updates from the recently concluded Search for America Tour. I’d intended to provide at least an every-other-day update, but two consecutive late night NASCAR events, and a desire to catch up with friends we hadn’t seen in too long combined to get in the way.
In the [...]

2.6

It’s great having a day off after the Search For America Tour, if for no other reason than to upgrade one’s blog installation. tbbs is now powered by WordPress 2.6.

Why is it?

The stinking on-call pager weighs only 3 ounces or so. Why do I feel 100 pounds lighter when I get shed of it?

The Belmont post parade underway. Big Brown looks like he has another day at the office.

Our daughter has a breezeway, to which the smokers [...]

Happiness

Right now, it’s a Shiner, shuffled to the back of the icebox and forgotten, only to be rediscovered in a chilled to an unbelievable state of chilldom perfection.
Mmmmm.

eee Bloggin’

The last few posts were made from my eeePC, using ScribeFire. The eee’s tiny screen, combined with my poor eyes, makes it difficult to check spelling and punctuation with much efficacy. So, don’t attribute any grammar, punctuation, or spelling errors in any of the foregoing to any lack of dedication on the part of [...]

Mission Accomplished

A couple of posts back, I mentioned that I was making a trip down to my shabby cubicle, to handle some anomalies with Solaris jumpstarts, wherein root passwords were coming out blank.
I solved the problem, almost trivially, by telling the jumpstart software to set the root passwords, which in my last Friday’s end-of-long-week denseness, [...]

Al Bundy Tunage

The long version of Susie-Q is a great start; it lends Creedence to the week1.

1 Pardon the cheap pun; I’m on vacation, y’all.
